Juliette Low was born on October 31, 1860 in Savannah, Georgia. Her parents named her Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon but no one called her that. Her nickname was Daisy. She was born during the Civil War, which was very hard on her. Daisy’s father was a southerner fighting against the Yankees. She had hardly any food and wore raggy clothes.
