Mathematicians, traditionally, are more of a right-brained type of thinkers. Artists and writers, comparingly, have more of a left brain train of thought. Lewis Carroll (or Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) was an exception. This mathematician and writer had both qualities. He wrote a number of famous books and poems that ranged from a humorous to serious tone. Lewis Carroll was a fascinating man that loved children. His love for children and stories is how his most famous book came about, Alice and Wonderland.
