Savage Inequalities
For a country that seems to strive for equality among all people, there are still many flaws that are allowing a type of segregation among our educational institutions. In "Savage Inequalities", a detailed account of America's most neglected inner-city schools, written by Jonathan Kozol, depicts the reality that many of our children are not receiving the education that all Americans should have the right to obtain. In the following, I will discuss examples of varying schools where hardship and obstacles would be an understatement.
