There are many differences in the poems, “Speaking Of Poetry” by
Bishop, and, “966” by Dickenson. But there is a similarity as well. That is
the idea of social standings affecting a relationship. Were it not for
differences in upbringing and the different views of different cultures.
In “Speaking of poetry” the first line states that they must find a
way for Othello to wed Desdemona. For they love each other and yet can’t
for Desdemona’s father does not approve due to the differences in their
