Jimi Hendrix was a guitar virtuoso that both frightened and motivated. After his coming out at the 1967 Monterey Pop festival, he was labeled, deservedly, a guitar genesis. His early performances, both live, and recorded material, produced a mile wide shadow that was impossible to escape.
