She really did not tell me what the movie was about, but she told me enough to keep my interest in it. When I first heard the title of the movie, in class, it sounded familiar to me. Finally, I remembered that this was the movie I had been waiting to see. Sankofa was a very moving movie. It is the kind of movie that makes you think about yourself and how you have become.
