Stud Terkel’s Play “Working” On Thursday, November 4, 1999, I went to see the play “Working” at Theatre Jacksonville on San Marco Drive. This play was based on Stud Terkel’s book “Working” which was published in 1974. In the play “Working,” the characters play as real life worker such as the ordinary housewife, waitress, and factory worker. In general, the play was about people and what they do for a living.
