are not only a form of transportation but a symbol of one’s social class.
According to Fortune magazine “Americans never stopped craving freedom,
power, and a feeling of superiority over the rest of the world.” Because
of the Americans’ desire for such qualities in a car, sport/utility
vehicles (SUVs) have taken over the market. “According to J.D. Power &
Associates, 68,277 luxury SUVs were sold in 1997” and more are expected to
sell in the following years(Maloney). Every car manufacturer has at least
