The Brady Law
Both of these articles deal with The Brady Gun-control Law, which
puts certain restrictions on the sale of guns. The bill, which started in
1994, does not allow the sale of guns to people convicted or indicted of a
felony, people with a history of drug use or mental illness, and various
other people. During its first 28 months in effect it has stopped the
purchase of 186,00 guns to people who would have otherwise been able to
purchase them before this bill was enacted. The Brady Law is named after
