Dead End: Teenage Suicide
Suicide takes the lives of thousands of teens each year. Studies done around the country showed that about four hundred to 2 million teenagers attempt suicide. The National Center for Health Statistics reported that the average number of successful teenage suicides between 1982 and 1992 were 5,000 per year.
In 1990 the National Center for Health Statistics also reported suicide to be the third leading killer of young adults. Most people, however, think that these statistics could be higher, but unfortunately teenage suicide goes underreported because the survivors, the authorities, ....
