Brown vs Board of Education The Brown decision had a major effect on Americans. This case changed the way many would live their lives forever. By the 1920’s many civil rights groups had decided that the Plessy decision did not give equal rights to black Americans and had to be overturned. The lead group trying to get the Plessy decision overturned was the NAACP. They made up a plan to weaken the Plessy decision. The way this plan would work was, they would first choose a law denying a group equal rights. Then they would find someone who has suffered from that law. They would then take the case....
