James Madison's Federalist 45
When James Madison did an about face from his platform of strong,
centralized government to write Federalist number 45, his vision was
changed from the idea of a supreme national government to one of states’
rights and such. There exist many differences and similarities to the
government of the United States today.
Today, the government under democratic programs is a contradiction
of what Madison was getting at in Federalist 45. They have more of a
stronger, centralized type of rule considering the ideas of welfare reform
