The Odyssey and Gilgamesh
Throughout the epic poems The Odyssey and Gilgamesh both characters reveal traits of an epic hero. Both characters share god-like traits and have a variety of enemies. Each hero presents physical strength, but also goes through the emotional effects of loneliness. Each of the heroes in some way become unselfish in the end.
