The wind gussied against his face and the rain in little bullets pelted his coat as Jack made his way to his Jeep. It is going to be a long night, he thought, as he groped through the darkness in search of his car. Finally, his hand touched the metal latch and he traced his way to the keyhole. As he frantically unlocked his car and scrambled in, he became conscience of the ominous and devouring black of the night.
Jack started the car, turned on the headlights and wipers, and began to back out of the driveway. The pale blue luminescence of the digital clock pulsed 10:40 reminding of him of his imminent engag....
