Summer by the Pool
While lying on my back, I could feel the radiant glow of the sun beating down on my already sun-kissed skin. The tropical aroma of sun tan lotion and hibiscus filled my nose. The peacefulness of summer surrounded me like a blanket of warmth.
I opened my eyes and saw the sun glaring down at me. I looked around seeing enjoyment on everyone’s faces and hearing laughs from all directions. Four people were standing underneath the canopy trying to escape from the sizzling cement, eating watermelon, and having a “spitting for distance” contest. Two people were sun bath....
