Mrs. Catherine Freemont, she was definitely a different kind of woman. Dispite her way of appearing to be your typical girl next door, she was a different kind of woman than most would expect her to be. The reader was lead to believe that Kitty had a disliking for the Jewish population of the world near the beginning of the novel. One could also take this as simply being a misunderstanding of culture, and a source of intimidation.
