The Lord of the Flies: The Evil of Mankind
In The Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, Golding presents the philosophical view of man that evil is inherent in man’s nature. He states that the theme of his book is an attempt to trace the defects of society to the defects of human nature. If man is not held in check by society, the Freudian "Id" will emerge.
