Narration in Haircut and Cask of Amontillado
The narrators in "Haircut" and "Cask of Amontillado" both put their own slant on the events as they tell them. This shows unreliable first-person narration in both stories. In "Haircut", Whitey is the narrator. He doesn't seem to be able to see through the events in the story, even though he is the one telling it. In "Cask of Amontillado", Montresor doesn't tell the whole story to Fortunato, who believes that he is going to be sampling some fine wine.
