Evaluation of Plato’s Allegory of the Cave
Immediately after reading, for the first time, Plato’s Allegory of the Cave I wrote: He has been imprisoned in his ignorance. Once freed, he chooses to stay in his prison of ignorance because this is all he knows and all he wants to know.
As written in the text, “People are happy in their ignorance. They resent those who force them to recognize that they are ignorant”.
