I believe that loneliness and friendship is the most significant theme in John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. I have many examples, which I will use to support my opinion. My first example is the two main characters from the book, George and Lennie. These two are completely different both physically and mentally, but because they are both alone they actually develop a friendship with each other.
